Mark Thompson has been in the business of sales for as long as he can remember. As a successful car salesman, sales manager and car dealership owner, Mark fine tuned his skills for 27 years. In 1995, Mark and his wife Pam, decided to move from Northern California to the east coast. In search of an affordable place with a temperate climate for their family (including horses and dogs) Mark and Pam found Aiken, South Carolina. They’ve never looked back. 

Real Estate Business In Aiken

After arriving in Aiken, Mark joined Pam in the real estate business. Together, they opened what would later become Laissez Faire Sothebys International Realty in Downtown Aiken. Mark’s gregarious personality, along with his vast arsenal of skills and knowledge, has made him a top producer and leader in Aiken’s real estate community. Mark served as the President of the Aiken Association of Realtors in 2007, and is currently serving his second term as President in 2021. Mark decided to join Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in 2017. Since the move, he has been able to focus completely on his true passion – giving his clients exceptional service.

Mark’s Strengths

Mark’s skill set makes him uniquely qualified to formulate opportunities for his investment and development clients. He has helped owners of large tracts of land establish equestrian subdivisions, create enclave neighborhoods and design build packages on vacant lots. Mark works well with commercial real estate clients, thinking outside the box and taking a solutions oriented approach to business. Also President of the Laurens Centre Homeowner’s Association Board of Directors, Mark is a persistent problem solver, and a very hard worker. His clients are well served.
